Gavin Friday contributes piece to Sculpture in Context 2012

Gavin Friday has contributed a piece to the annual ‘Sculpture in Context ‘ exhibition in Dublin. The exhibition opens Thursday September 6 at the National Botanic Gardens and runs through October 19th.
The sculptures will be displayed throughout the gardens, ponds, Great Palm House, and Curvilinear Range, with the smaller works exhibited in the gallery above the visitors’ centre.
Participating artists this year also include Cliodna Cussen, Sonja Landweer, Liz Nilsson, Brigitta Seck, Breda Marron, Leo Higgins, and Jackie Ball.
In 2006, wrote about Sculpture in Context and the Botanic Gardens: “the ‘Jewel in the Crown’ of Northside Dublin”.
The National Botanic Gardens are located 3 Kilometres North of Dublin city centre, 10 minutes by bus from O’Connell Street (Nos.13 and 19)
at the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin 9.
