Gavin Friday plays string of triumphant shows in Ireland and The Benelux
March 4, 2026
This February, Gavin Friday returned to the stage with a string of triumphant shows to packed venues in Limerick, Leuven, Antwerp’s beautiful Bourla Theatre and Amsterdam’s prestigious Royal Carré.
The concerts continue the run of performances around his album Ecce Homo, first released in October 2024. For the 2026 Spring dates, Friday has reshaped the show into what he calls a “newer, salty and sexier” performance for audiences to “eat, drink and suck…” They responded with standing ovations.
Next stop is Trento, Italy on March 10. Friday then returns to Ireland for a show at Dublin’s Vicar Street on March 12. These shows are coming up fast, so get your tickets now.

Reviews:
“Pastoral, heavy, dark and intense. That was Gavin Friday at Carré. A gripping concert in which Friday worked relentlessly through his setlist, spoke out fiercely against transphobia, homophobia, racism and the far right, but also paused to reflect on personal stories about farewell, death, dementia and love. ****”
– APOPLIFE.NL“The 66-year-old Irishman’s performance was brimming with symbolism, focusing on independence, solidarity, a strong dig at Trump, the shift to the right in society, and the rights of all genders and sexual orientations. Friday pulled no punches, getting straight to the point both musically and lyrically.”
– WRITTEN IN MUSIC
“Even more phenomenal is the way “Caucasian Walk” gets a kind of industrial-electronic rework that stretches out for minutes. This sounds very Virgin Prunes-esque: raw, brazen, decadent. Wonderful.”
– DARK ENTRIES
“At the Bourla (in Antwerp), he also proved to be the performer who captivates any audience, even if they struggle with his rather broad musical horizons. Between songs, he liked to sit on a chair to reminisce, which added a pleasant intimacy to the performance. And of course, there’s his unique, expressive voice, with which he can yearn, soothe, and moan, but also deliver razor-sharp punches.”
