Perry Ogden

Photographer Perry Ogden was born in England and now lives in Dublin, Ireland. His commercial work appears in magazines including Italian Vogue, L’uomo Vogue, W, the Face and Arena. He has shot advertising campaigns for for Ralph Lauren, Chloe and Calvin Klein. Ogden’s more personal projects include the Pony Kids series. These pictures of inner city kids in Dublin were published by Jonathan Cape/Aperture in 1999. Ogden has also photographed the painter Francis Bacon’s studio (7 Reece Mews), which was published by Thames and Hudson in 2001.

Ogden’s first film, Pavee Lackeen (The Traveller Girl, 2005) won numerous awards including the Satyajit Ray award for Best First Film at the London Film Festival and the Irish Film & Television Award (IFTA) for Best Film.

Perry Ogden shot the cover photo for Gavin Friday’s 2012 album ‘catholic’. Previously, he’d been one of the artists contributing to Gavin’s Artists for Kosovo project. Watch him at work in this video:
