Read more: Pat McCabe’s novel Breakfast on Pluto dedicated to GavinIrish author Pat McCabe’s new novel ‘Breakfast on Pluto’ is dedicated to Gavin and his wife – “do Fionán agus R.” The book draws heavily upon the vibe set by the album Shag Tobacco, and the songs Mr Pussy and Dolls. Director Neil Jordan has already bought the rights to the book for a film. Gavin and Maurice have been writing songs for Marianne Faithful and continue to work on a new studio album.

The film is set in the present time, deals with boxing, a love triangle and the peace talks in Northern Ireland. The soundtrack is expected to be released some time between January and March 1998.
