Gavin Friday will be a special guest speaker at SensoriaPro. Interviewed by Ian Neil (Sony) Gavin will discuss his compositions for film and media, including In the Name of the Father, Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge, plus Blood Rising and Anton Corbijn documentaries.

The SensoriaPro Industry Day on Friday 27 September features an array of sessions and informal networking for composers, labels, filmmakers, agents, managers and more. Other guests include Chris Watson, one of the world’s leading recorders of wildlife & natural phenomena, plus musician, producer and multi-instrumentalist Nitin Sawhney.

The industry day is part of the wider Sensoria Festival, the UK’s annual festival of music, film and digital which returns to Sheffield for its sixth edition.

Gavin will also be performing at Sensoria as a narrator for one of the festival highlights – the world premiere of Now Will You Listen!, an audio visual performance of short stories created by musician Mick Somerset Ward with Dean and Jarrod of I Monster. He will read “The Reverend’s Daughters” and “Rain Wolves”, illustrated and animated by Kate Anderson with music extemporised by the NWYL Orchestra at The Lantern Theatre Sensoria2013. With Charlie Collins: Drum Kit and Percussion, Dean Honer: Synthesiser and Electronics, Jarrod Goslling: Synthesiser and Accoutrements and Michael Somerset Ward : Organ, Woodwind and Sensula.
